Do you remember your childhood
time? As for myself, I
dont completely remember all
memories. But I do remember about myself enjoying holiday even back then. Can I ask you something? Do you remember travelling
with your family as a kid? As a kid you do have limitations enjoying holiday.
Okay, I just giving simple example: there's some ride in theme park that you
can't ride not only because you're not old enough but you not tall enough! Do
you know what I mean? Some attractions in theme park require minimum height but
some person not tall enough or they do tall enough but they not old enough..
Hehe :) I
was just making some example~
even us as a kid do have a lot of limitations but we DO have privilege which is “you don't need to think”. About lodging, transportation, what to eat, where to go, belongings and other thing that you need to have
when you have your holiday.
As I grown up I really
want to go back to that time when I travelling as a kids. Why? I feel I get
more closer to my family rather than now. I used to depend on them. And I talk about everything
without afraid asking something odd or ridiculous. When we were kids our
parents do understand even when I asking about something weird? They would just laugh and tell me don't think about that anymore.
If now I'm as a grown up
asking my parent the same question they would ask “What kind of question that
you ask me?” The thing is: As a grownup we have a lot of
things to do. Even when we want to travel we need to prepare everything so we
won't get lost or even know to the smallest thing like what kind of restaurant that I should visit. Then money that we need to spend, what kind of place
that popular at least we need to research everything as a grown up! But as a
kids you can have all privileges: tasty food (yes) things that you want (yes)
accommodation (yes) place of interest (yes) things that you can't have as a
kids: rides that you want to ride but your age/ height can't help you even
though you brave enough, choosing your food, choosing your accommodation, what place you want
to visit.
So
the thing is we need to let it go! As a child you need to enjoy every holiday moment and as grown up
you need to be detailed about your future holiday( if you wouldn't bother to
use travel agent service) :) just be happy

Who doesn’t like travelling? Even my friend’s one year old is already enjoying “being on the move” in traveling. Probably all of us (read: human) like to travel since young. But it all depends on things like chance, budget, circumstances, and other sort of things. Enough talking about serious thing. Moving on!
My earliest travel experience would be those trip to Jakarta (I am Bandung-an) . I remember being excited for those Jakarta trip. In Jakarta, we (my whole family) would visit my auntie who has a restaurant in Jakarta. There we would eat all those super delicious food. Me and my cousins would keep ordering cold ice tea as it would be free. For us. Ha! Then one memorable trip.. I was not purposely peed on my auntie’s bed. I think I was four or three. *shy should be four because we are not supposed to remember thing from three year old.
Other memorable trip as a kid would be my 6th Grade trip. It was a school trip to Yogyakarta. Well, there were some other trips before that but.. I mean.. It’s Yogyakarta! It’s far!
I don’t know how they have trip in school nowadays but back then.. it was so rare to have 6th grader had a long journey trip! We took train which take 7 hours from Bandung to Jakarta (pardon me if I remember it wrong), there were like 60-70 of us! I tip my top to my teachers. It is not easy to manage some students, all the more 60 of us on a trip! We were proudly pull or carry our luggage walk along the platform.
Back to train topic, there was no ipod or 6th grader with hand phone back then. So.. all those hours we would play our.. Walkman. Haha.. remember the good old days? When we had to wisely use our walkman otherwise we would have to buy another AA battery. Then before the trip we would have to think carefully ‘which cassette’ we shall carry along. The rest of time we would not texting or taking selfies and put them on instagram! Nor we would play our games on our ipad. We would just chat and play.
It was such an exciting experience!
Our bus was broken bus. We didn’t have air conditioning in our bus, then i remember the roof and the floor is kind of rusty. I sweat a lot in a bus until my pink t shirt so wet. ( haha). Then i fell a slept .. and almost fall so my teacher had to help me in changing sleeping position. (man!Shy)
We went to all those great places in Yogyakarta from Borobudur temple, Prambanan temple, Gembira Loka zoo, Kota Gede (their silver craft is amazing). Borobudur really kept me astounded. We read its history in the book but.. when we actually there.. it felt more than just amazed. Their history..even until now there are some ‘believe it or not’ kind of stories! Like Wow! Prambanan temple also kept me amazed. Legend.. and the real temple that we can actually see.
Of course, places of interest is not the main ‘happiness’ in the trip. School trip always means friends! i remember me and my friends had a really good time staying in our hotel. A lot of jokes, laugh and those sort of stuff.
That travelling memory and other things.. kept me excited about going away. Whether in a school trip or being away alone.. i still feel so excited and happy about.
